Hatch show Print

I've just been reading about a letterpress printing company in America called Hatch. Its really inspiring how after 300 years of the print shop being open that they are stilling working for show promotions for concerts or general shows. And to still use the same techniques because of the quality that you get from hand-crafting print. You can see the quality that their work turns out in and would still look more fantastic as time goes on, as the paper dries out and the ink begins to fade. Something that modern day printing cannot replicate.

Not only that, their ability to select type faces, layout work to set frames, ignoring the capabilities of the computer. Although they do state that they use computers as an initial idea tool, but prefer to do things traditionally just seems really great.

They work along with artists like Kings of Leon, The Strokes as modern examples, yet have worked with Johnny Cash and the likes of Elvis Costello. Its just great how most print companies would have turned over from the invention of technology, yet these guys are still going and being recognized and appreciated for what they do.

I may look into doing something like this in the future.
